Biography
George Kokotos is the Chairman of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Athens, Greece. He studied chemistry at the University of Athens where he also obtained his Ph.D. He then conducted postdoctoral work in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biological Chemistry at the University of London. He has spent a sabbatical leave as a visiting Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, San Diego. He has authored over 140 publications in peer-reviewed journals and edited two books on Bioactive Lipids and Lipases. He is also co-inventor of more than 12 patents.
